About Gigi Burris Millinery
Founded in 2009, Gigi Burris Millinery is a luxury accessories brand based in New York City. Gigi Burris’ interest in millinery was heightened after studying at Parsons Paris and frequently visiting the old world mercerie shops, including a millinery shop in the Marais. After returning to New York City, she studied under couture milliner Leah Chalfen at Parsons School of Design and then apprenticed with Chalfen in her personal studio. Burris graduated with a BFA from Parsons in 2009, where she was nominated for the Designer of the Year award.
Since 2009 Gigi Burris has garnered a rapidly growing celebrity following, including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Angelina Jolie, and Lady Gaga. Her senior thesis collection of hats have gathered much fame worn by Rihanna in a W magazine photo shoot. Known for intricate feather and couture handwork, Gigi Burris takes pride in preserving the traditional craft of hat making, hand-blocking each hat over wood forms into modern styles, and combining luxurious materials and traditional couture sewing techniques. All hats and accessories featured on SAANS are handcrafted in New York.
We hope that you are satisfied with your purchase from saans.com. However, in the event that you need to return your unworn items you can request a return online. Please note that Final Sale items are non-returnable.
Once we have approved your request you will receive an email with a prepaid return label. If you choose to return items by another shipping method please insure the items for their retail value.
Full-price items must be received within 21 days from the date of purchase for store credit or refund.
Returned items must not have been worn, altered or washed, and should have all original tags attached. Shoes should be tried on on carpeted floors only and all packaging must be in original condition. Swimwear will only be accepted if the hygienic strip is intact. We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not comply with the conditions stated above.
Returns for store credit will be processed free of charge; returns for a refund will require a handling & processing fee of $9. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.
RETURN TIME FOR ON SALE ITEMS AND DURING SALE EVENTS
For SALE items we shorten our returns period. You have 7 days (from the date the order arrives) to make your mind up about any order, during which time we’ll exchange or refund it, no questions asked. The seven-day return policy enables us to process returns and put them back into the sale section before the sale ends. Please note: Items marked Final Sale are non-returnable.
REFUNDS (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
REFUND PROCESSING TIME
Returns are processed within 7-10 business days of package receipt and can only be issued to your original method of payment. Your banking institution may require additional days to process your refund (usually 5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
INTERNATIONAL RETURN POLICY
Please note that all international orders are Final Sale and cannot be returned.
Saans utilizes UPS or USPS for all domestic & international orders. Saans is proud to offer complimentary shipping on Domestic Orders over $500. Most orders ship within 2 business days, and you will receive an email with your tracking information once your order ships. If shipment of your order is delayed for any reason, you will be notified via email and given a revised ship date.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Please note that all International Orders are FINAL SALE. There are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
